OPF of Modern Power Systems Comprising Renewable Energy Sources Using Improved CHGS Optimization Algorithm

چکیده
This article introduces an application of the recently developed hunger games search (HGS) optimization algorithm. The HGS is combined with chaotic maps to propose a new Chaotic Hunger Games (CHGS). It applied solve optimal power flow (OPF) problem. OPF solved minimize generation costs while satisfying systems’ constraints. Moreover, presents siting for mixed renewable energy sources, photovoltaics, and wind farms. Furthermore, effect adding sources on overall value investigated. exploration field problem active output each generator in studied system. CHGS also obtains best candidate design variables, which corresponds minimum possible cost function value. robustness introduced algorithm verified by performing simulation 20 independent times two standard IEEE systems—IEEE 57-bus 118-bus systems. results obtained are presented analyzed. CHGS-based was found be competitive superior other algorithms same literature. contribution this test improvement done proposed method when problem, as well study addition objective function.
